Self-Worth equals Net Worth
Money is simply an idea; it is a means of exchange. Think about it for a moment, before money we bartered with each other as a means of exchange. When the concept of money first came about we used to have the “chuck wagons” or gold wagons, then, to make it more practical, coins were invented so we were able to carry money from one town to the next, then we converted the coins to paper in an attempt to make the coins lighter as the distances we travelled increased. Then when paper became too heavy to transport we moved the concept to electronic means for money….it’s an idea, a concept, a means of exchange between individuals living on this planet.
Money will give you options and choices but in order to make more money you have to understand that your self-worth will directly translate to your net worth. What you feel and what you believe will determine what your net worth is because you will think and act in terms of your self-worth.
The value we put on ourselves is based on the skills and knowledge we have and the level of confidence and certainty we hold. So as we begin to increase our skills and knowledge and our confidence and certainty increases, guess what, our self-worth increases. And when you start to value yourself you start to think about valuing the service or product you supply and start to charge accordingly. You will start to think, “How do I earn more money for being worth so much?” You must first put value on yourself if you want others to value you.
Money will find you when people value the information, the product or service you provide. When people can see how that knowledge, product or service you provide can help them with what they want help with, they will pay for it. The more highly they perceive that value the greater the price they will pay. So if money is a means of exchange, the first thing you must do is increase your self-worth to order to receive your financial worth.
“If you want one year of prosperity, grow seeds.
If you want ten years of prosperity, grow trees.
If you want a lifetime of prosperity, grow your self-worth.”
